SOUPS (Chorba)

In Turkey, soup is eaten for breakfast, lunch, or supper and also represents a meal in itself, accompanied by bread. Today, in restaurants lentil and ezogelin soup as well as yayla soup (yogurt and rice soup) are a subtle. They are mostly served with lemon wedges and bread slices. Cooking in Turkey is deeply traditional as an inherited art. Most recipes have been cooked for centuries, with relatively few changes.
